On the 3rd week of August, the International Folklore Festival brings traditional ensemble from all over the world. - Kostas Tsigos’ land – upon the hill of Peratia, in front of Lefkada (10 km). The land has been cultivated for 20 years with natural methods. Their owners’ first aim was the family’s autonomy in fruits, vegetables, pulses, olive oil, meat, poultry, eggs… and then the sharing of awareness on organic culture, food and way of life. Kostas and Hara are active members of “Peliti” network, and struggle for the preservation and diffusion of local original seeds and autochthon species. In this aim, seminars are organized, and children can follow free gardening lessons and look after their vegetable and flower garden.
For them (and for us), the culture of the land is culture of the soul…
